Squad Time: Coy Reflection

Dear Boys,

It's always pleasant to hear you share and realised that there are so much within each one of you; treasure of stories and learning experiences that have strengthened and built you to be who you are today. I hope we have more opportunities like this where you can have the platform to share and teach.

Below is what I've captured and paraphrased from the “THINGS TALK” session where each squad shares its strengths. Let it serves as a reminder and vision that's written down so we don't forget about them.

Squad 1 is represented by a boat (made from the materials given). The cup symbolises a containment of all of us, including both our positive and negative emotions. A battery sticks behind the boat represents motivation (giving energy) from people in 82nd to people who may be feeling down. In a way, 82nd is a supportive community. The spoon represents a paddle (something like, a purpose, dream, or vision) that moves us forward; without it, we're just merely floating.

Squad 2 is represented by a piece of A4 paper that is going through an on-going process of writing the story of BB 82nd coy. The paper is divided into different segments, representing different batches of boys. Indeed, let's continue to write histories and may we journey on this memory lane.

Squad 3 is represented by a boat with a flag stating, "Squad 3 is unity." A flag bears identity. Great characteristic to lift up high and loud! The tape symbolises bonding, where it tapes all of us together. The plaster represents healing, where boys can cheer up and help each other as a coy. The cup represents a shelter for all of us; a place that gathers and covers us.

I pray that it will be as they are according to the faith each of you have. Let 82nd coy be more than just a CCA, but a place where we can proudly say we belong because of all the good friendships we have forged throughout the journey together!

Let us DARE TO ARISE!
