2.45 pm - 3 pm: Fall in / take attendance / briefing
3 pm - 5.30 pm: Give out refreshments and / or help out in logistics and area cleaning as instructed on the day itself
5.30 pm: Dismissal

Remarks:

• The 20 Boys for this duty are Jordan, Timothy, Ivan, Kean Zhu, Kim Yew, Yi Lun, Jian Ping, Yu Xuan, Matthew, Kevin, Nicholas Kuan, Nigel Mark, Eden, Jia Wei, Chin Loong, Alan, Yeh Kai, Arief, Jin Ding, and Ryan Ang (Ryan will be the Boys' IC for this duty).
• Other than the above 20 Boys, all other members are to run in the cross-country.
• Report to your Form Teacher first, then to Mr Chong for this duty.
• This event will count towards your CCA attendance, whether you are running or doing yeoman duty.
• Failure to turn up in your respective classes during attendance taking will result in 'zero' given for CCA attendance too.
• You are advised to have a heavy breakfast, and sufficient sleep the night before.

Just two announcements:

• For those who want the Sportsman badge, you can have an extension till 6 Feb 2011 to submit your project. So far, only one project is in (Jia Wei, Eden and Yeh Kai).

• Our Coy still can't even form one BB Blaze team (5 members). This is very sad, because we have the highest number of Sec 2 and 3 Boys (29) this year! Yet this is the first time we've had trouble forming a team... Sec 2s and 3s: Please seriously think about joining Abhishek, Nicholas Ma and Jit Sheng in the team. This is an opportunity to represent 82nd Coy and BLSS, and also to train up your physical fitness! No Boys team from 82nd Coy has ever gotten Silver Honour Roll for Adventure Quest / BB Blaze before - why not form a Dream Team and aim to be the first??

Sportsman Stage 1

All Boys who participated in West 1 Cluster Sportsman Day last year will qualify for Sportsman Stage 1 if they hand in the following group projects by 31 Jan 2011. The project is to compare and contrast two sports - list at least five similarities and five differences between them (you can compare their histories, rules, techniques, equipment etc.). I will only accept good and valid points, so it would be safer to give me more than five each.

• Wei Feng, Zhihong, Kelvin & Shang Zheng: Compare and contrast basketball and handball.
• Arief, Chin Loong, Jit Sheng & Ryan: Compare and contrast floorball and handball.
• Jia Wei, Yeh Kai & Eden: Compare and contrast floorball and basketball.
  
• Timothy, Nicholas Ma, Abhishek, Say Pheng & Yu Xuan: Compare and contrast badminton and handball.
  
• Kean Zhu, Matthew, Jian Ping, Kevin & Nicholas Kwan: Compare and contrast badminton and floorball.

Each group only has to hand in one project (should not be longer than one A4 page). It can be either handwritten or typed. If typed on Microsoft Word, you can just email it to ksdrag@yahoo.com.sg.

If anyone in the group does not contribute, let me know and he will not get the Sportsman badge.

Dear Blazers,

Training this Saturday, 15th, is cancelled, as I understand that many of you are involved in level camps. Have a good rest. The next training will be done on the 17th, Monday. Meet outside the BB room with your PE Attire.

Replacement of uniform parts.

The following boys are to get their uniform parts replaced before 15th jan(saturday) and bring it on that day for inspection.

Clement- Lanyard
justin- Harversack
Eden- Pants and boots
Say pheng- Belt
Jing ding- BB label (If it's the '82nd spore coy' label, get it from the bb room)
Chin Loong- Pants
Jit Sheng- Name tag

Uniform parts which are damaged or missing are to be paid by the boy themselves.
Company will only subsidise uniform parts which are too small. Subsidy is only 50%.

Everyone is supposed to check and make sure that they have all their uniform parts and that they are in good condition. If not, they're to get it replaced as well. Squad leaders is to ensure.
Eugene, since sec 1s-3s are having camp this week, can the admin collect money from them and make a trip to BBHQ to buy the items?

BB Blaze 2011

Dear Boys,

Our company will be participating in this year's BB Blaze, which will be on 2 Apr 2011.

BB Blaze is a team activity that will stretch you, both physically and mentally. You could find yourself playing games (e.g. archery, basketball, football, etc); learning new skills (e.g. map-reading, canoeing); and making new friends through "fun" training sessions! (Just ask anybody who has attended one of my training sessions!). Further details of last year's BB Blaze can be found here: BB Blaze 2010

Any Sec 2 - 4 Boy can join, no matter what your fitness level. There are no pre-requisites to be part of BB Blaze 2011. The team will meet up twice a week, once on a weekday and once on Saturdays. If you are interested and would like to give it a try, email me at shaungoh@hotmail.com

Our first training will happen this Saturday, 8th Jan 2011, after parade. Bring your running shoes and PE attire. Anyone interested is welcome.
